Lockshields work by completely encasing the existing lock barrel and surrounding areas. This not only protects the vehicle, but also helps to stop the costly body-shop repairs, which can result in the vehicle being off the road for days at a time. In the event of a vehicle being damaged prior to fitting of a Lockshield, the system then offers permanent repair, with the added bonus of security - whereas vehicles repaired in the conventional way, render them immediately vulnerable to repeat attack.
